The paper measures and analyses the level of financial inclusion across 28 countries of Asia Pacific Region for the year 2010 and also assesses the impact of Drag factors. The weights for various indicators are estimated by using principal component analysis. The index is found to have a very high positive correlation with per capita G.D.P. and negative correlation with the percentage of poor. It captures two major indicators of inclusive growth. The index explains existence pockets of financial exclusion in developed countries.
