Take a cup of New Campus Fear, add to it one teaspoon Sadness Of Leaving Home and you will have the perfect recipe for Confusion & Anxiety. To pacify us was the Introductory Session, where the Director along with the teaching and non-teaching staff added a few ingredients to alter what the first day tasted like. The lecturers gave us a brief idea about the two years the university had in store for us. True to its motto, we realized that we were surrounded by people from across the country and that adapting was the only way to survive. Industry Expert as Guest Lecturers showed us how Symbiosis School of Banking and Finance would mould us, condition being we were willing to accept what it has to offer. Even with all the mixed emotions running inside us, our stomachs had a mind of their own. We headed for lunch at the mess – the place which would calm our hunger pangs for the next two years. The sessions which followed briefly covered the curriculum, the academics, the co-curricular activities, and the disciplinary guidelines. The evening saw many ‘which course’, ‘which city’, ‘which field’ questions around the hostel area and exploring where people walked and walked and walked, looking forward to a journey of two years.
